AgResearch withdraws application

April 13, 2002

AgResearch has formally notified ERMA New Zealand that it has withdrawn its application to develop in containment a range of genetically modified cattle.

The research was aimed at developing genetically modified cattle (Bos taurus) in containment with the aim of studying expression of human proteins in milk and gene function in cattle.

The withdrawal of this application by AgResearch means processing, including arrangements for a hearing, has now ceased.
