Group Standards for Metal Industry Products

The Environmental Risk Management Authority has issued group standards for metal industry products.

These group standards are issued in accordance with the requirements of Part 6A of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996. The group standards came into force on 1 July 2006.

The Metal Industry Products Group Standards have been created for products that are used within the metal industry. It includes metals or metal alloys, and powders derived from them, substances used in the process of electroplating and the printing of circuit boards, substances used for soldering or welding such as fluxes and components used in the preparation or maintenance of metals.
