The Environmental Risk Management Authority has issued a group standard for animal nutritional and animal care products.
This group standard is issued in accordance with the requirements of Part 6A of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996. The group standard came into force on 1 July 2006.
The Animal Nutritional and Animal Care Products Group Standard has been created for products intended for administration to an animal to achieve a nutritional benefit, and products used in the external care or grooming of an animal.
