All Dangerous Goods Licences will expire on 30 June 2006.

After 30 June 2006

If you have substances that were transferred prior to January 2006

From 1 July, if you held a Dangerous Goods licence for flammable substances, you are likely to need:

If you hold only substances transferred by Group Standard

If your Dangerous Goods licence was only for substances being transferred as part of a Group Standard, such as paints, then for substances of the same hazard class your licence will be considered to be a Location Test Certificate until 1 January 2008 providing you:

  • are obeying the terms and conditions of your Dangerous Goods licence

If any of the following have changed you may need a Location Test Certificate immediately:

  • types (classes) of hazardous substances
  • volume of hazardous substances
  • their location
  • or site ownership.
