Database for Reporting to the Authority after an Aerial 1080 Application

The decision on the reassessment of 1080 was notified in August 2007. As part of the additional controls imposed by the Authority, a written report must be submitted to the Authority on all operations involving the aerial application of 1080. This requirement is in response to the concerns expressed by many submitters in relation to the aerial application of 1080 and will provide a central database of information on aerial 1080 operations.

Details of this control (Additional Control 12) can be found on page 187 of the formal decision document, which can be accessed from the ERMA New Zealand website:

ERMA New Zealand are developing a database to hold the information provided in these reports and are releasing for public consultation a document outlining the detail of the control requirements.

Please take this opportunity to have your say on the information to be submitted. A summary of the submissions will be published after the close of the consultation period.

The consultation document is found here [Word document 420kb]
