ACCORD - Child-Resistant Packaging amendment to group standards Consultation

ERMA New Zealand is consulting on proposed amendments to group standards.

These amendments have been requested by ACCORD Australasia Ltd (“the applicant”). The proposed amendments affect many of the group standards published by ERMA New Zealand.

The applicant is seeking amendments to the following:

  • Child resistant packaging (CRP) requirements for 6.1E substances (not aspiration hazard) and 8.3A substances in all group standards
  • CRP requirements for 6.1D substances in Cleaning Products Group Standards, and
  • Permanent identification provisions for 6.1 substances in all group standards.

ERMA New Zealand is now commencing public consultation in accordance with Part 6A of the Act on the proposed amendments. All submissions must be received by 5 pm, Friday 14 May 2010.
