Fees and Charges Schedule

Effective 1 July 2009

This schedule describes the fees and charges fixed by the Environmental Risk Management Authority in accordance with section 21 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996.

Hazardous Substance and New Organism Applications - Part 5

The following fees will apply for applications made under Part 5 of the HSNO Act.  These fees apply to individual substances and new organisms.

Note:
1. Where the application attracts a fixed fee, disbursements will be limited to the actual and reasonable cost to publicly notify the application, which is normally in the four main newspapers.
2. Where the application attracts a negotiated fee disbursements will include advertising and hearing costs (if a hearing is needed). Note that an estimate of costs will be provided.

Costs incurred on disbursements, primarily for consultants and external experts engaged to provide further information on an application will be charged on to an applicant as charged to ERMA New Zealand.
